This is the only time I rowed Marbelle before making her into an art boat. She is destined for the Jamestown (RI) Outdoor Arts Experience 2020. This project was inspired by seeing Art Cars at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore about twenty years previously. I did an art car ("Marbile"), a 1964 Volvo 544 covered with marbles, but she rusted before I could finish. Marbelle (this boat) went a lot faster because I had a deadline, and she's smaller.
